SYNAPSE / BAND
Medical-grade biometric wristband with continuous arterial pulse wave sensing
A medical-grade biometric wristband that measures arterial pulse waves through dry titanium sensor contacts.
THE PHYSICAL PROBLEM.
Standard fitness trackers either pinch the wrist, lose optical skin contact during movement, or have fragile plastic buckles that break under tension.
SYNAPSE / BAND utilizes an elliptical spring-tensioned band with an auto-cinching magnetic clasp, maintaining optimal 12 kPa sensor pressure on the radial artery.
FORM DEVELOPMENT & CLASS-A SURFACES.
Derived from 3D anatomical scans of 500 wrist profiles to establish an organic curve that floats over the ulnar styloid bone without pressure points.

SOLID CAD ARCHITECTURE.
Combines elastomer overmolding with an internal titanium skeleton. The flexible sensor array is encapsulated inside a liquid silicone rubber (LSR) envelope.
Five multi-wavelength photodiode clusters arranged in a circular array, shielded from ambient light interference by a micro-machined titanium bezel.
